I am a Danish woodworker and furniture designer, born in 1990, working at the intersection of craftsmanship, material honesty, and functional design. Trained as a wood machinist, I completed my apprenticeship in 2019 with the highest honors.
My work is guided by a philosophy of honesty in construction—an approach that allows materials and joinery to remain visible and integral to the final expression. I primarily work with wood, often combined with natural materials such as glass, stone, and rope to create subtle contrasts in texture, color, and structure.
I began my studies at the Jutland Art Academy in 2012, initially focusing on artistic expression before transitioning into furniture design. This shift allowed me to unite a functional purpose with a deep respect for craft.
My process is iterative and meditative. Ideas often emerge through stillness, developing from simple lines and geometries into refined, functional objects. Each piece is shaped through continuous adjustment, with attention to both construction and proportion.
Influenced by midcentury Danish design, Japanese aesthetics, and minimalist art—particularly Donald Judd’s focus on essential form—my work seeks clarity and balance. I aim to create objects that are both purposeful and enduring, rooted in tradition while responding to contemporary concerns for sustainability and versatility.
